Rwanda is the most improved economy worldwide since 2005 (World Bank Doing Business Report 2014). In the 2014 World Bank Doing Business Report, Rwanda ranks 32nd in the world (out 189 countries) and 2ndin Africa after Mauritius respectively. Rwanda is the easiest country to do business in East Africa. In 2014, Fitch and S&P upgraded Rwanda’s credit outlook to B+ due to a track record of prudent and coherent fiscal & monetary policies (2014).
